Salim is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience in new product development, R&D, and project management, 17 of which have been dedicated to product safety and reliability. His career spans aerospace, automotive, medical device, and defence sectors, with deep expertise in ARP 4761, ISO 14971, MIL STD 882E, and IEC 61508.
Throughout his career, Salim has worked directly with major certification bodies including the FAA, Transport Canada, and TÜV SÜD. He has represented an OEM on the Aerospace Cyber Security Standard Development Working Committee and holds a Master's degree from the University of Western Ontario. He is a certified Functional Safety Engineer and a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
Salim founded QTSI with a clear conviction: that safety expertise should be accessible, practical, and deeply embedded in the way products are built, not bolted on at the end.

Director, Functional Safety Head
Israel Borges brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in the commercial aviation industry, having worked with leading aircraft manufacturers in Brazil, Japan, and Canada. His expertise spans various roles and functions in Safety and Maintainability Engineering.
He has been involved in integrated product teams and collaborative forums with aircraft operators, contributing to the definition of maintenance requirements for various aircraft types using the MSG-3 methodology. Additionally, he has played a key role in safety engineering efforts aligned with industry standards such as ARP4761 and ARP4754.
Israel has an innovative outlook, consistently striving to optimise and enhance processes across the aircraft development and operational lifecycle.

Functional Safety Lead,
Project Manager
Ramandeep brings six years of industry experience spanning functional safety engineering and automotive manufacturing. He has been actively involved in new product development across automotive, aerospace, and safety-critical systems, with hands-on work in requirements management, hazard and risk analysis, system safety analysis, and verification against standards including ISO 26262, ARP 4761, and IEC 61508.
Ramandeep holds a Master's degree from Concordia University, Montreal, and is a certified Automotive Functional Safety Professional. He is known for a resourceful, creative approach to complex problems, and for keeping projects moving without sacrificing rigour.




System Safety Analyst
Harshal brings expertise in Aerospace System Safety, Material Science, and Industrial Automation. He specializes in the safety assessment of aerospace systems as per ARP4761, ARP 4754, RTCA-DO 178 and RTCA-DO 254. He has been involved in conducting System Functional Hazard Assessment (SFHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) across conventional and modern systems in AAMs.
With a Master's Degree from Concordia University, Harshal's curiosity and interest in technology spark engaging discussions. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, he is dedicated to delivering creative and robust solutions. Harshal believes in making a meaningful impact from the outset and champions teamwork being crucial for achieving collective success.
System Safety Analyst
Royed brings a foundation in mechanical engineering and systems analysis, with a specialization in aerospace system safety. He has been involved in conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Preliminary Aircraft Safety Assessments (PASA), and System Functional Hazard Assessments (SFHA) for Advanced Air Mobility programs, in accordance with ARP 4761 and ARP 4754.
With a Master's Degree from Concordia University, Montréal, Royed combines a solid grounding in CAD, FEA, and systems thinking with hands-on project experience in FMEA-based risk analysis and aerodynamic design for next-generation aircraft control systems. He approaches every problem with methodical curiosity and a commitment to building safety in from the ground up.
